Our Accomplishments
We have to toot our own horn whenever we're rewarded for our missions...so...toot toot!
T-Mobile Small Business Giveaway (June 2020)
We were one of the runner ups of T-Mobile's small business giveaway in response to COVID-19. We received a nice cash prize.
Caress and IFundWomen Grant (August 2020)
Our fabulous director, Gabrielle Crichlow, became one of 25 recipients of the Caress and IFundWomen grant program, which aims to support women of color-owned small businesses.
This grant helps us with our goal to continuously reach out to students in need and hire tutors to manage the load (as well as pay for operating expenses). Thanks to this program, we now have a crowdfunding page! We are so excited to raise money for our business on a platform that supports women. Please consider contributing to our campaign - anything from $5 to $500!
SheBossTalk Micro Grant (October 2020)
Our director also won a micro grant from SheBossTalk. Their grant fund was created to help women entrepreneurs whose businesses have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. They love to see women win and that's why they couldn't sit back and do nothing when their fellow sisters were not doing well.
BeyGOOD/NAACP Black-Owned Small Business Impact Fund (November 2020)
We also won a grant from the BeyGOOD/NAACP Black-Owned Small Business Impact Fund (Round 2)! BeyGOOD is a global initiative founded in 2013 to inspire people to be kind, to be charitable and to #BeyGood to themselves, to others, to the community, and to our world. BeyGOOD has partnered with programs to help people in the U.S., Europe, Africa, South America, and the Caribbean.
NAACP Empowerment Programs is delighted to administer a meaningful program in partnership with BeyGOOD’s Black-Owned Small Business Impact Fund to assist our small business communities that have been directly impacted by recent events across the country. The grants will be offered to Black-owned small businesses in select cities to help sustain businesses during this time. The NAACP is proud to partner with BeyGOOD to help strengthen small businesses and to ensure economic empowerment for Black businesses.
Fiserv Back2Business Grant (December 2020)
Fiserv has a proud history of supporting millions of small businesses across a wide range of sectors and understands that small businesses like ours are vital to our communities. That’s why Fiserv is empowering minority-owned small businesses (like ours) that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic with an opportunity to apply for a Back2Business grant along with access to business expertise, Clover® solutions, strategic partnerships, and community engagement.
Citizens Committee for New York City Grant (June 2021)
Citizens Committee for New York City has been helping New Yorkers improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods for nearly 50 years. We're honored to be one of those New Yorkers.
SheBossTalk Micro Grant (December 2021)
Our director won another micro grant from SheBossTalk! They continue to help women entrepreneurs whose businesses have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The future is she. #shemovement
